If You Choose to Fly In Professional pilots who fly floatplanes in this environment on a daily basis provide air services. The 30-40 minute flight will enable you to see for yourself this great vast woodland. If you do fly, it should be considered one of the highlights of your trip to the Northwoods. The cost of a flight to Penobscot is approximately $100 per person one way. Rates vary depending upon initiation point and air service company selected. Here are four that we have worked with: |

Trip Planning The one thing over which we have no control is the weather. The old adage is true, "If you don't like the weather now, wait for 15 minutes. It will change". Although not quite that unpredictable, the weather certainly is changeable. Life can be miserable when not appropriately prepared for cold and rainy weather. The true sport will arrive with appropriate clothing, especially in early spring/summer as well as in September. You give us your list of wants and wishes; we will do your shopping and stock your cabin as part of our Preferred Cabin Service. |
